This year, emercoms aided motorists around 30 thousand times

Over the Q1 this year, emergency commissioners provided assistance about 30 thousand times.
The bulk of the emergency calls are related to the need for technical assistance. This accounts for 62% of the total number of events (18,100 calls). In 4,580 cases, drivers requested assistance with refueling. About 1,900 times, experts warned drivers about illegal stopping and secured those who were left stranded in a dangerous zone due to a technical fault of their vehicle.
Paying attention to the nature of the leading types of events, motorists are recommended to prepare more carefully for their trips, especially over long distances, and follow the traffic rules along the way, being guided by the message boards and assorted information signs.
Starting 1 April 2024, the number of crews of emergency commissioners patrolling the toll sections of the Russian Highways State Company's roadnet grew to 131 units. They can be called by dialing short number *2323. All emercoms have passed special training in aiding turnpike users.
